In May 2021 I gave a deep listening soundbath on the theme of connecting with nature - I'd been thinking of this for some time but concidentally it fitted well with the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week - which was simply "nature".
The soundbath featured the sounds and music here, but also short readings from writers on nature (and beyond), including J.A. Baker, Nan Shepherd, Rainer Maria Rilke, Lord Byron, Neil Ansell and Ben Myers. Additionally the "Valley is a moody mistress" section was replaced by a live gong meditation.
I was going to break the sections into individual tracks but the piece really makes more sense when listened to in its entirety. You can use it for meditation, to practice deep listening to or simply relax and/or fall asleep to.
"I found I was really going in" first featured on the Lines of Silence album Terra / Aqua as section F of Terra.
